Double Pro-Am Victory for Halstead & Holland on McLaren Trophy Debut at Brands Hatch
Paddock Motorsport’s Nick Halstead and Thomas Holland made a sensational start to their McLaren Trophy Europe campaign at Brands Hatch, storming to back-to-back Pro-Am victories across the opening two races of the season.
Round 1 – Race 1
In Saturday’s opening contest, the #40 Paddock Motorsport McLaren Artura Trophy was expertly handled by Holland in the opening stint, keeping the car out of trouble and maintaining strong pace in the Pro-Am field. Halstead took over at the driver change and delivered a measured run to the chequered flag. The pair secured 4th overall and, more importantly, their first Pro-Am class win on debut.
Round 2 – Race 2
Lining up 3rd on the grid for Sunday’s second race, the Halstead/Holland partnership continued to impress. Holland again drove a disciplined first stint before handing over to Halstead, who ensured another clean run to the finish. Despite intense competition from the Pro class entries, the duo crossed the line in 5th overall, clinching a second successive Pro-Am win and completing a perfect weekend.
Team & Driver Reaction
“This is exactly the start we wanted,” said Halstead. “The car felt great all weekend, and Thomas did a brilliant job in his first McLaren Trophy outing. To come away with two class wins puts us in a fantastic position for the season.”
Holland added: “It’s been an incredible experience making my debut in the McLaren Trophy at a circuit as demanding as Brands Hatch. The team gave us a great car, and to walk away with two Pro-Am victories is a huge confidence boost.”
Looking Ahead
The Brands Hatch double sets Halstead and Holland up as early Pro-Am title contenders as McLaren Trophy Europe continues its 2025 campaign. With pace, consistency, and teamwork already proven, the Paddock Motorsport pairing will look to carry their winning momentum into the next rounds.
